Med spa booking link: a phone checklist

A visible booking button is only the start. Check where it takes a first-time visitor, without creating a real appointment.

Use your phone, signed out of your clinic’s booking account. This is a manual journey check, not a ranking test.

1. Start where a customer starts

Open your clinic’s public website in a private browser tab. Find the booking action without using your saved account shortcuts.

Tap it once. Note whether it opens a booking page, a contact form, a phone call, or another website.

Those are different actions. A consultation request is useful, but its label should not imply an appointment is already confirmed.

Check that menus, cookie notices, and chat bubbles do not cover the button. Try the same path from a treatment page.

2. Confirm the clinic and location

On the destination page, check the clinic name and location before choosing an appointment type. A matching logo alone is insufficient.

For 2 locations, repeat from each location’s website page and Google profile. Check that neither sends customers to the other branch.

Google requires each location’s business action link to lead to a dedicated page for that location.

For Google appointment links, use a direct booking destination, not a generic homepage, social profile, or shortened URL.

3. Check the steps, then stop before submitting

Check that appointment choices and available dates are readable on your phone. Look for clear next and back controls.

Note any account requirement, unexplained error, or unexpected location change. Check whether deposit and cancellation information appears before commitment.

Do not enter customer details, reserve a time, or submit payment during this inspection. Use your provider’s test environment for submission testing.

If the journey fails, record the page address, device, date, and exact error. Share that with your booking provider.

Keep a short check log

  • Starting page and button label.
  • Destination address and selected clinic location.
  • Last step reached without sending information.
  • One specific issue, or “no issue found before submission.”

A successful preview does not prove a booking can complete. Keep that limitation in your notes.

4. Inspect Google’s appointment links separately

Search your clinic’s exact name in Google Search and Maps. Open any visible booking action and repeat the location check.

To manage links, open your Business Profile’s Booking section in Google Search. In Maps, use Edit profile, then Booking.

Where available, use Set preferred link to choose your preferred destination. Google labels it “Business preferred.”

Third-party booking providers can add links automatically. Inspect those destinations too, rather than assuming your website link is the only route.

Link options depend on business category and country or region.

Remove a wrong or broken provider link

In Google Search, open your Business Profile, then Booking, then Remove Provider. In Maps, use Edit profile, Booking, then Remove Provider.

Removal takes away that provider’s booking route. Confirm the provider is the one you want removed before requesting it.

Google requires providers to remove third-party links within 5 days of receiving a removal request. This is not an immediate-removal promise.

If the provider does not process your request, use “report a violation” in Google’s help article below.

Pair the manual check with a free website check

Clinigrade looks for 5 signals in retrieved website text, including booking language. It saves the findings and a free PDF.

It does not click your booking button, inspect appointment availability, or complete a booking. Missing retrieved text does not prove a feature is absent.

The planned $39 full report is not available yet. The website check is free, with no signup.
